Is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints christian?

Latter-day Saints are often excluded by other Christians for not being a true Christian church. More or less, the 2 main reasons are: 1. They have a non-trinitarian view of the Godhead. 2. They have modern-day prophets and scriptures. Are these reasons valid or not?
